Born in Warner Robins, Georgia, USA, Mike Hicks is an emerging artist who graduated from Middle Tennessee State University's world-class recording department and is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. Discovered by the legendary bluesman Keb' Mo, he has toured the world and collaborated with a variety of big names such as Buddy Guy, Michael McDonald, and Lizz Wright on stage and in recordings. Traveling extensively around the world, he has also had the opportunity to perform on globally renowned stages such as the Sydney Opera House and the Apollo Theater. In 2013, he won three major awards at the Nashville Independent Music Awards, including "Best R&B Male Artist." The album that won "Album of the Year" at the same awards, "This Is Life," is now set for a domestic release in Japan.
