世界の第一線で活躍を続けるキーボーディスト・BIGYUKI
9/7にOPRCTで開催される「代々木上原の縁日」でのソロ公演が決定

BIGYUKI

6歳からピアノをはじめ、バークリー音大在学中からセッションプレイヤーとして活躍してきたBIGYUKI（ビッグユキ）。ア・トライブ・コールド・クエストとJ・コールの全米チャート1位獲得アルバムにそれぞれ参加し、JAZZシーンの最重要人物であるロバート・グラスパーやカマシ・ワシントンらと共演し賞賛を受けています。サイドマンとして数多くの成功を収めつつも、ソロアーティストとして自身の拠点となるNYで結成したバンドで日本や海外で多くのフェスに参加し、2019年はフジロックのレッドマーキーに出演。2021年ユニバーサルからアルバム『Neon Chapter』をリリース。2023年は日本全国ツアーを敢行し、5拠点で8公演を大成功に収めました。

そんなBIGYUKIによるソロ公演が、同日、代々木上原の新名所・OPRCT（オプレクト）で開催される「代々木上原の縁日」で実施されます。

これまでのひと・もの・ことの「えん」に、新たにMusic Live（おと）が加わり進化した「代々木上原の縁日」。

バンドセットとは一味違う、BIGYUKIのヘヴィなプロダクションに隠された世界観を紐解くソロならではの繊細な表現と、視覚表現にもこだわった実験的なスペシャルライブにご期待ください。

Renowned Keyboardist BIGYUKI Continues to Shine on the Global Stage
Solo Performance Scheduled for September 7 at "Yoyogi-Uehara Enichi" at OPRCT

BIGYUKI

Starting piano at the age of 6, BIGYUKI has been active as a session player since his time at Berklee College of Music. He has participated in chart-topping albums by A Tribe Called Quest and J. Cole, and has collaborated with key figures in the jazz scene such as Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington, earning widespread acclaim. While achieving numerous successes as a sideman, BIGYUKI has also made a name for himself as a solo artist with his band based in NY. He has performed at numerous festivals in Japan and abroad, including a notable appearance at the Red Marquee stage at Fuji Rock in 2019. In 2021, he released the album "Neon Chapter" through Universal Music. In 2023, he completed a successful national tour in Japan, performing 8 shows across 5 locations.

Special Solo Live Performance at OPRCT's "Yoyogi-Uehara Enichi"
BIGYUKI will be performing a solo show at the "Yoyogi-Uehara Enichi" event held at the new landmark OPRCT in Yoyogi-Uehara on the same day.

The "Yoyogi-Uehara Enichi," which has evolved by adding Music Live to its previous offerings of people, things, and events, promises an experimental special live performance by BIGYUKI. Expect a unique solo expression that reveals the intricate world hidden within his heavy productions, alongside visually-focused artistic elements.
