BIGYUKI, a keyboardist who continues to play an active role at the forefront of the world
Solo performance at "Yoyogi Uehara Festival" to be held at OPRCT on September 7th has been decided.
BIGYUKI
BIGYUKI started playing piano at the age of 6 and has been active as a session player since his time at Berklee College of Music. He has participated in the number one albums on the US charts for A Tribe Called Quest and J. Cole, and has been praised for performing with Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington, two of the most important figures in the jazz scene. While he has achieved many successes as a sideman, he has also participated in many festivals in Japan and overseas as a solo artist with a band he formed in New York, where he is based, and in 2019 he performed at the Red Marquee at Fuji Rock. In 2021, he released the album "Neon Chapter" from Universal. In 2023, he embarked on a nationwide tour of Japan, successfully performing eight shows at five locations.
Special live performance at Yoyogi Uehara Festival held at OPRCT <br>BIGYUKI's solo performance will be held on the same day at Yoyogi Uehara's newest attraction, OPRCT, at Yoyogi Uehara's Festival .
Yoyogi Uehara Festival has evolved with the addition of live music (Oto) to the existing festival of people, things and events .
Look forward to this experimental special live performance, which is a little different from the band set and unravels the worldview hidden in BIGYUKI's heavy production with delicate solo expression and a focus on visual expression.

BIGYUKI
Starting piano at the age of 6, BIGYUKI has been active as a session player since his time at Berklee College of Music. He has participated in chart-topping albums by A Tribe Called Quest and J. Cole, and has collaborated with key figures in the jazz scene such as Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington, earning widespread acclaim. While achieving numerous successes as a sideman, BIGYUKI has also made a name for himself as a solo artist with his band based in NY. He has performed at numerous festivals in Japan and abroad, including a notable at the Red Marquee stage at Fuji Rock in 2019. In 2021, he released the album "Neon Chapter" appearance through Universal Music. In 2023, he completed a successful national tour in Japan, performing 8 shows across 5 locations.
