NS DANCEMBLE's event "WE ARE" will be held on Saturday, April 12th at OPRCT in Yoyogi-Uehara, Tokyo.
NS DANCEMBLE is a unit centered around rapper/wood bassist NAGAN SERVER, with keyboardist TAIHEI (Suchmos/Sai), drummer Chisho Matsuura, bassist Jinya (DAN), and trumpeter Reiya Terakubo. With a theme of "dance music," they have attracted attention for their performances that cross over various genres such as hip hop, jazz, breakbeats, house, and techno.
This time, the Japanese keyboardist "BIGYUKI", who is the most talked about Japanese musician in the American music scene, will be performing a solo set with NS DANCEMBLE. After moving to New York, "BIGYUKI" participated in tours and recordings with Lauryn Hill, Kamasi Washington, etc. He participated in the last album of A Tribe Called Quest as a composer as well as a performer, and is an artist active at the forefront of the world.
The DJ will be "Midori Aoyama", who runs the internet radio station "TSUBAKI FM" and attracts niche listeners with her worldwide perception and inquisitive mind, and continues to send music from Japan's local area to the world. "Mr. Disco Kid", who toured Europe in 2014 and performed a 7-hour set at GIANT STEPS in London, which was highly praised from all quarters, and who is also a record dealer with many famous DJs and collectors such as Giles Peterson, Tuxedo, and Antal as his customers, will also be appearing.
