In college, he was inspired by jazz musicians like Jimmy Smith, Jaco Pastorius, Herbie Hancock, and Roy Hargrove, adding electric guitar and bass to his repertoire and forming his original cover band, Soulbol. Mastering numerous instruments while writing, composing, and producing, Quentin's superhuman talent and sincere approach to music, always seeking new styles, lead to comparisons to Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye.
