Nao Yoshioka moved to the US in 2018 and has been an exceptionally successful Japanese soul singer, ranking 32nd on the Billboard Urban Adult Contemporary chart and receiving high praise from Rolling Stone, a major US music magazine. After moving her base of operations to New York, her latest album, Undeniable, is released for the first time in about three years and has a timeless sound that is not influenced by the times, while also beautifully fusing organic and digital sounds to match the theme of "impulse." This is her fourth album, which breaks into the mainstream of US R&B, and was written in NY, LA and Philadelphia with up-and-coming young artists such as Eric Roberson, Karli Mateen, Devin Morrison and Keir Victoria, and reconstructed by a band including Quilliam Shakespeare. Philly masters such as Larry Gold and Vidal Davis also contributed, resulting in an aggressive, yet sensitive, world-class album.
