Iman Europe is a singer-songwriter and rapper active primarily in LA. Her music, which she describes as "psychedelic soul," combines a determined vocal style, a strong awareness of lyrics influenced by Lauryn Hill, and elements of R&B, soul, and trance music, all while possessing a dreamy atmosphere reminiscent of Frank Ocean. Her first album, titled "Nami" (her name spelled backward), is being exclusively released in Japan. The title "Nami" carries dual meanings throughout the album: "wave," referring to the mellow and comfortable vibe of the sound approach that evokes California's beaches, and "us" in Polish. With a bonus track produced by starRo, also based in LA, this album is a promising work that suggests she will soon rise to greater prominence.
