Keyboardist BIGYUKI continues to evolve on the world stage. His long-awaited band set will be held in Tokyo!
BIGYUKI
BIGYUKI 's musical journey began the moment he touched the piano keys for the first time at the age of 6. While studying at Berklee College of Music, he had already distinguished himself as a session player in Boston, and after moving to New York, he participated in tours and recordings with Lauryn Hill, Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, and J. Cole. He participated in the last album of A Tribe Called Quest as a composer as well as a performer, and his musicality has been highly praised. While he was successful as a sideman, he pursued his own style and formed a band in New York . He has released his music at festivals around the world, including the Red Marquee at Fuji Rock. His latest album, Neon Chapter , is a bold work that symbolizes his evolution, and he has further expanded his realm of expression through a tour of eight performances across Japan. As a composer, he has also provided music for the NHK 100th anniversary program "New Japonism," and continues to leave a clear mark on the music scene in Japan and around the world.

While still a student at Berklee College of Music, he quickly gained recognition as a standout session player in Boston. After moving to New York, he became a sought-after collaborator, touring and recording with artists like Lauryn Hill, Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, and J. Cole. His contributions to A Tribe Called Quest's final album—both as a performer and composer—solidified his reputation as an artist with a distinct and forward-thinking sound. Even as his career as a sideman flourished, BIGYUKI remained committed to developing his own voice. He formed his own band in New York, bringing his electrifying blend of jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music to festival stages worldwide, including a standout performance at Fuji Rock's Red Marquee. His latest album, Neon Chapter, marks a bold new chapter in his evolution—an ambitious and boundary-pushing work that he showcased on an eight-city tour across Japan.
