Akira Nakamura is at the forefront of Tokyo's young top musicians. He is a composer and drummer. In high school, he was a guitarist and vocalist. He has handled numerous productions and arrangements, and SWEET SOUL RECORDS pays the most attention to him and places their trust in him. He studied drums under Kenwood Dennard, Larry Finn, John Hazilla, and Chris Dave. Born in Okinawa, after graduating from Berklee College of Music, he lived in Boston, Shanghai, Los Angeles, and New York, performing with many famous artists. His main collaborators include guitarist David Fiucyzinski, Soulive, Sam Kininger, Hiromi Uehara, Prasana, Eric Wainaina, Afrobeat band KOKOLO, Sakura, Haruna Tsusaki, Mika Arisaka, Kaori Kobayashi, Daichi Miura, and Hanaregumi, all big names. He formed his personal project band, "element of the moment," with saxophonist Masashi Kohamoto. While supporting other artists as a drummer for bands such as Akira Nakamura Trick Stewart Band, Yamabuki, and Ika le Ponch, he also composes, produces, and arranges.
