Nao Yoshioka lived in New York for two years starting in 2010, where she placed second in the Apollo Theater's Amateur Night, eventually winning for three consecutive months and becoming a "Top Dog." She was also selected as a finalist from among 40,000 contestants at one of America's largest gospel festivals. Discovering her limitless potential, she returned to Japan and finally released her debut single "Make the Change" last year. This July, she traveled alone to Europe to participate in jam sessions and also gained experience touring in the United States. One writer called her the "Japanese Alicia Keys," and she received praise from Gordon Chambers during her time in the U.S. Nao Yoshioka's first album, "The Light," was recorded by three teams in America, the Netherlands, and Japan. Brian Owens, the "Vintage Soul Man" who is currently a hot topic in America, was responsible for recording three instrumental tracks and vocal direction. Dani Elliott and ORLY, who are active in New York, co-wrote and provided songs. In the Netherlands, Shirma Rouse, hailed as the No. 1 Soul Queen, was responsible for recording three instrumental tracks and vocal direction, forming a truly luxurious lineup. The Japanese team included top musicians active in the scene, with Takuya Kuroda, the trumpeter for the Jose James band, also participating. Centered around Nao Yoshioka, this soul music, connected through music, will cast a spell on the world from Tokyo.
