Since her debut in 2013, Nao Yoshioka has continued to perform globally, with a US debut and London shows. The theme of her latest work, "The Truth," is the "truth" she found while touring the world, sensing the music scene with her own five senses, and interacting with many fans and musicians: "the best art (real music) connects people across barriers." The title track "The Truth" was produced by Khari Mateen, who has written songs for Erykah Badu and Jill Scott and has a Grammy nomination. Furthermore, on "I Love When," she collaborated with Musicman Ty, who has written songs for Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj. While hinting at roots in soul, jazz, R&B, and funk, she embodies evolved soul music by incorporating the sensibilities of globally active producers. This long-awaited new work, guided by music and traveling the world, embraces new sensations connected by sound, the power of music felt locally, and a borderless sense that removes all barriers.
