Tim Dillinger is a talented artist whose soulful vocals are reminiscent of Stevie Wonder. Active in the Gospel and Hip-Hop scenes for a decade, he established his reputation as a backup vocalist alongside Tata Vega, Reba Rambo, and Daryl Coley, who themselves have backed up Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Michael Jackson, and Madonna. He later founded his own label and made his solo debut in 2004, with "The Muse" being produced two years later in 2006. The album features guest appearances by Frank McComb, hailed as the modern Donny Hathaway, Daryl Coley, and Akua Taylor, indicating the high expectations surrounding his solo work. This 17-track album is an ambitious work that showcases everything Tim has gained throughout his career. There are not many singers in the world who can cleverly mix Soul, Gospel, and Hip-Hop and compile it into such a masterpiece. One cannot help but feel his exceptional talent and sensibility in effortlessly achieving this. The beautifully melodic ballads "Tell Me That I Can" and "Seasons" (ft. Daryl Coley) that might bring tears to your eyes, and the jazz-infused "(I’m Not) Colorblind," and "That's the Kind of Love," reminiscent of Bobby Caldwell's hit song "What You Won‘t Do For Love," are must-listens. With poetic, introspective, and lyrical lyrics, the other songs are also excellently crafted, making it a masterpiece album. It topped the charts on Jazz FM in London for two consecutive weeks and has been garnering attention as a promising artist on various soul music websites. Many will surely be captivated by his voice. We can't take our eyes off his future endeavors.
