Teisha Marie is a singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist born in the UK and now based in Washington D.C. While working as a teacher, she originally pursued songwriting to provide music for other artists, but finding little success, she decided to take the microphone herself, releasing her 1st album "Addicted to Life" in 2008. The album was featured on major music sites like Soulbounce and SoulTrain, earning praise for "setting itself apart from mundane mainstream themes." As her vocal talent and track-making skills became widely recognized, she performed at renowned clubs such as the Sugar Bar in New York, owned by Ashford & Simpson, and Bohemian Caverns in Washington D.C., as well as numerous festivals. She also shared the stage with Angela Johnson and was featured by many artists, steadily building her career. Her 2nd album, "The Girl from Nowhere," was completed over three years starting from 2010. With this evolving musical passport in hand, she continues to resonate with audiences through her raw, emotional, and passionate vocals, backed by compelling lyrics and a sense of purpose.
